Real estate and life on Catalina Island are linked for Esther Choi.

The sales associate moved to Avalon in the early 1990s and began working in property management almost immediately. Six years later, getting her real estate license seemed like a natural career progression.

Now, Esther finds joy in finding homes - whether that home is a family's island vacation home or a long-term rental for a local family. "I like knowing that I am playing a part in fulfilling someone's wish to have a home in Avalon," she said.

The agent's background is ideal for her current responsibilities overseeing Catalina Island Vacation Rentals' long-term property management, a position that also supports her role as a real estate agent at Catalina Island Real Estate. "Most of my clients have been people who have had a long history in visiting the island," she said. "I like finding the right person or family for the right property."

The Southern California native loves the beauty and lifestyle of Catalina Island. "It's good to get away sometimes, but it's always a pleasure to come home," she said. The pleasure of coming home is something she's eager to share with potential island home owners.
